The spirit of World Clio is one of helpful scholarly discussion. Full papers are available to all participants in advance. Participants are expected to read the papers in advance and to come to sessions prepared for productive discussion. At the conference, authors are given 5 minutes to make an opening statement about the paper and then the floor will be opened for 40 minutes of discussion of the paper.
One of the features of Cliometrics meetings is the opportunity to network with your colleagues outside of the sessions. Part of the conference package includes a reception, a social outing, and a gala dinner, so there will be plenty of opportunities to meet both established scholars in the field and a new generation of economic historians.
The quality of the papers on the program is very high, and we look forward to a successful World Congress.
